Swimmin' with Mimi and Papa!

There's an unfair temperature divide between where we live and where my parents live. The heat of the summer is really kicking in and on Wednesday, I called my mom in a pool of my own sweat and declared that I was coming over to swim with Lucy. We were roasting and needed some relief. My mom let me know I should be sure to bring a sweatshirt because the coastal fog, "just hasn't burned off yet and it's pretty cool."

Wha?

So we came over and Papa took Lucy for a swim in her "African Queen" style cruiser.

Then, when they were finished, Mimi wrapped her up in a warm towel. I was having flashbacks of swimming lessons as a child in Carmel where my mom would wait with a towel because it was so cold outside. Lucy appreciated her quick wrap style.

We love our Mimi and Papa!

Star Struck

Lucy and Mommy messin' with the special effects on the Mac.
Lucy can see herself in the screen, and is star struck!

Nok and News

Every night after dinner and bath, Lucy has some milk as we wind down towards bedtime. Lucy has dubbed this time "Nok and News" because it's the time we drink "Nok" (milk) and watch the news. So here we are, in jammies, playing with the computer during "Nok and News" time.

Lake Gregory

Walking with Dada! We had a wonderful afternoon at Lake Gregory. We drove up on a whim this afternoon and had dinner at Lake Arrowhead. Lucy loved the ducks and sand, not to mention launching pine cones into the lake.

Tremblay's Fudge Shop

Our favorite sweet shop in the world! Tremblay's Sweet Shop is a place we have been visiting forever. Lucy and Rosie negotiated a piece of licorice. The adults were happy to indulge them, as it provided a distraction so they could buy their own "Num! Num!"

Wisconsin

More Wisconsin bliss. . . Mommy and Lucy sitting on the dock over looking the lake.
Papa took Lucy on for a very special breakfast date at a local coffee shop, where she had a hot cocoa, spent time with her Papa, and came home with 2 Slinkies, one for her, and one for Rosie.
Thanks Papa!
Kissing the bear in front of the house. . .
A special wheelbarrow ride with Auntie Hezzie
What a wonderful week!

Eagle River, Wisconsin

We've had a wonderful week here in Eagle River, Wisconsin! My grandparents gave us their wonderful cabin for the week, so Simon's parents, Lucy, and I traveled "Up North" to spend some time together! We had a wonderful time! Lucy and Dada played together with her new tractor.
It was very funny!
Nana and Lucy spent some time swinging on the swing.
Papa Hunt drove us around on the boat.
What a great week! Thanks for everything! Can't wait to do it again soon.
