Bass Lake Escape

They say you can't go home again.
Well, in our case you kind of really can't since we don't own home in Oakhurst anymore.
But our family friends the Jonses have, once again, ushered us back into the mountains by letting us stay at their lovely lake home.

So much fun!

We were indoors quite a bit, as it was chilly outside, but that didn't stop us from stomping around in the snow!  We tried to drive up to our old favorite spot Nelder Grove, but found it was completely snowed in. . . no problem, we drove up to another favorite spot, Calvin Crest.

Sea Worthy!

We had an amazing time on my mom and dad's new sailboat the "Arabella."
She is beautiful and large and sails like a dream!
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the kids on a sailboat, but with their jackets on, I felt very safe.

It was a beautiful day to hit the Newport Harbor! Having my Papa Welch there was the icing on the cake! We love Papa Welch.

The Hunts Hit LA!

What an incredible week we had here with the Hunts! Lucy and Henry were THRILLED to have Nana and Papa Wales here with us in our very own country.  We only wish we lived CLOSER so we could play more often.
We managed to do quite a bit when you look back on it! Simon's birthday found us at The Grove in LA. We walked around and had a delicious bbq dinner.
And we threw pennies in the fountain
We went to the park in Sierra Madre.

Then it was time for Sharon's birthday! We had massages at Burke Williams, followed by a feast at home.  We are so glad she was born!

Henry helped blow out the candles on a chocolate cake.

Then we drove up to Lake Arrowhead for lunch.  And it was freezing.

More to come about our adventure with Sharon and Terry. . . .
