It's amazing what can happen when you turn on the camera and just let the kids go undirected. . .

Centennial Farm

We had the opportunity to head out to the farm with Mimi, Auntie Hezzie, Rosie, and Baby Sadie this week. The farm is a demonstration farm in Orange County that is designed to give kids a taste of the old farm life. From composting, farming, and raising livestock, the place made us want to sell our city digs for a simpler way of life!

And mostly it made me want to plant some artichokes.

The highlight for Lucy was the milking demonstration. . . they brought 2 cows up, hooked them up and milked them for us to see. As nursing mothers, Heather and I were gobstruck watching these cows pump out 3 gallons each. . .

Easter 2010!

Our annual Easter Egg hunt began after church on Sunday once the Welches and Eckerts arrived. Lucy and Rosie really got it this year, running from egg to egg, and tossing them into their baskets.

This year we caved a bit and put candy in the eggs. . .

Heather invited us to a local church's Easter Egg Extravaganza, and let me tell you, it was anything but ordinary!

Easter Eggs!

We dyed Easter eggs this week.
Turns out, it is important to dye eggs, whilest wearing your Dora underpants. (Censored.)
