Candlelight Caroling
It has become an annual tradition to attend the Sierra Madre candlelight walk. The whole town meets together, and sings carols as they walk down the street. It is great fun for our family!
This year we brought the girls in Rosie's red wagon. They were snuggly and warm.
Uncle Ron and his wagon 'o' babies!
The carolers!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Nativity Discovery
Lucy's Mimi Welch gave her a nativity play set last year for Christmas. Of course, at three months she was too small to appreciate it. THIS YEAR, however, she is big enough to understand. Although she doesn't quite understand the magnitude of the concept of the birth of Jesus, she does understand that the little figurines in their adorable boxes are awfully fun to play with. She picked up the baby Jesus and kissed it and said, "Hi baby!"
Oh holy night!
Not only are the shepherds an essential element of The Story, but they also taste incredible.
And yes, with all Christmas decorating moments, comes the movie Christmas Vacation, playing in the background.

MORE FUN with the HUNTS!
We had Thanksgiving at my parent's house in Huntington Beach. The turkey was barbecued outside by my dad, a family tradition. The turkey was named "Gertrude" by my dad, also a family tradition.
Nana and Papa Hunt, Mimi and Papa Welch, and Great Nana and Papa Bordeaux were in attendance. What a gift to get to spend such quality time with family!
We also had a mini-early Christmas, opening presents from the Hunts/Watts. We had a great time. .. especially Lucy with her new drum that plays a festive Calypso beat when pounded. Needless to say, she loves it.
