Halloween 2009

Remember this costume?
Remember the Lucy obsessed with Minnie Mouse? The girl who would run into her room and point to the dress and say,"LuLu's! For Halloween!"

Yeah, that girl wouldn't go within 10 feet of that costume on Halloween night. The first to go was the bow/ear headband. She ripped that off in about 10 seconds. Next was the dress. She started crying and yelling, "OFF! OFF! OFF!" She later clarified that it was "too itchy." By the time my parents arrived to trick-or-treat, she was in black Crocs and a diaper.

Hmm. . . plan B.
We whipped together a ballerina outfit and were ready to go trick-or-treating. Or as Lucy says, "Getthetreat!"

This was her first sugar of the night, a See's lollipop from our favorite friend Marcie-the-human, whom Lucy refers to lovingly as "Nana." Lucy was frustrated at first that she couldn't bite the lollipop and needed instruction to eat it. She got the hang of it in no time.
